Ads and the purchase

Ads pay for the game. They follow strict rules, and one purchase removes them.

What you see

• A banner below the keyboard.
• Sometimes a full-screen ad between two games.
• Optional videos, only if you choose them: a Hint, or a 7th try.

The rules of the full-screen ad

• Never during a game, and never when the app opens.
• Only when you close the end card with Play again or Change length.
• At most one every three finished games, three minutes apart at least, and three per session.
• Never before your second finished game, never right after a video you chose to watch.
• Never after the word of the day.

Consent

In Europe, a form asks your choice before any ad. If you refuse, no ad is requested, even after the app restarts. Ad privacy options in the settings changes your choice.

Remove ads

One purchase, Remove ads, in the settings: no banner, no full-screen ad, no consent form. The hint and the 7th try stay, without any video, with the same limits. It is not a subscription. Restore purchase gets it back on another phone.
