The word of the day

One word a day per language, the same for every player. It changes at midnight on your phone.

Open it

The Word of the day button is at the top of the home screen. The flame and the number next to it are your current streak. A grid you leave halfway is kept: it opens again where you were.

Its length

The length turns every day: 5, 7, 4, 6, 8 letters, then again. The rules are those of free play, with the same number of letters given.

When it is done

The box says That's it for today. and counts down to the next word. From there, Share sends your result, and Previous days opens the last thirty days.

The streak

Your streak is the number of days in a row you found the word. A loss, or a day without playing, sets it back to zero. Playing in a second language the same day does not add a day, and a loss in a second language does not break a day already won.

Sharing

The shared text has a first line, "Motrix", the day number, the language code and your score (for example 4/6, or X/6 if you did not find it), then one line of squares per try. A "*" after the score means you played with 0 letters given, a "+" with 2. The word is never in it.

Previous days

The words of the day from the last thirty days. Each shows whether it is To play, In progress or done. They do not count toward your streak.
